Midfielder Lee Frecklington has agreed a two-year contract extension with Lincoln City.
The 22-year-old was the subject of two approaches from the Imps' League Two rivals Peterborough United during the transfer window which were rejected by manager Peter Jackson.
Frecklington will now remain at Sincil Bank until the summer of 2011.
"I see Lee as a big part of my plans for the future here at Lincoln City and I'm delighted that an agreement has been reached before I go away to receive my treatment," said Jackson.
Meanwhile, the imps have also signed Alex Morfaw on loan from Scunthorpe United.
The 20-year-old Cameroonian midfielder has struggled to break into the first team at the Championship club, despite impressing while on trial last summer.
