Contract wait for Imps pair

Lincoln City pair Lee Beevers and Dany N'Guessan have turned down initial new contract offers from the League Two club.

Both men have now been offered amended terms to remain at Sincil Bank, with manager Peter Jackson hopeful of agreements being reached.

He told the Lincolnshire Echo: "We've made offers to Dany N'Guessan and Lee Beevers and they've turned the first offers down.

"We've made them second offers, so we'll have to wait and see on that.

"They (contract negotiations) have been going on a while. We'll just have to wait and see and hopefully next week we'll get another decision.

"But I don't think it will happen overnight. We're just waiting to hear back from them."
