Butcher turns down Imps pay-off

Lincoln City midfielder Richard Butcher has turned down a deal to have his spell with the League Two club ended by mutual consent. Butcher, who's contract with the Imps expires at the end of next season, was offered compensation in exchange for leaving Sincil Bank club now. Imps manager Chris Sutton told BBC Lincolnshire: "Richard Butcher is a problem because of his wages. "He doesn't seem to be overly keen on moving on in any shape or form."
