Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson is adamant that he won't make any panic buys this summer as he attempts to revamp a squad that finished the League Two season in mid-table.
Despite being linked with former player Richard Butcher, who was recently released by Notts County, ex-Huddersfield Town captain Jon Worthington and Nottingham Forest defender Hamza Bencherif, Jackson is refusing to be rushed.
He told the Lincolnshire Echo: "I've chatted with one or two players this week, but you have to remember that a lot of players and managers are away at this time of year.
"I don't expect to announce any signings in the next couple of weeks.
"I'll be patient. I can't offer a player 'X' and blow him away so he signs there and then, because that just won't happen.
"Players will go away and assess their options. But I won't rush in, panic and sign the wrong players."
