Swindon Town midfielder Aaron Brown has apologised after being accused of swearing at a section of Robins fans during the defeat at Barnet.
Brown's relationship with Town fans has been strained since he demanded a transfer last summer, but he insists his actions at Underhill have been misinterpreted.
He said: "I came in on Wednesday morning for a meeting with the gaffer and he said he'd had a few e-mails from fans. I just want to clear it up.
"In the game on Tuesday I let the ball go under my foot and in frustration I've sworn. It wasn't directed at a fan or the fans, it was more in frustration, but I was looking in the fans' direction and obviously they've taken it as I've sworn at the fans.
"I can understand why they think that and I'd like to apologise to anyone who's taken it in that way.
"If we can all pull together for the last 13 games I'm sure we can give it a good push to get in the top three."
