Robinson was on trial at Lincoln before signing a five month contract in August 2005 , this was then extended until the end of the current season following an impressive start to his career with the Imps . The striker started his career as a trainee at Derby and has also played for Stoke City , Tranmere , Chesterfield , Stockport , Notts County , Walsall and Rushden & Diamonds .
