Chairman agrees to hold bucket collection for Richard Butcher memorial during high profile Brighton game Ex Chairman of football of the Imps Ray Trew, now Chairman and Owner of Notts County, has agreed to have a bucket collection for the Richard Butcher Memorial Appeal during the high profile home game against current league leaders Brighton and Hove Albion. Butch was a popular midfielder at County, scoring the goals one season that kept them in the Football League, before he returned as one of Peter Jackson's signings at Lincoln prior to the 2009-10 season.  He fell out of favour under Chris Sutton, saw a loan deal with Gary Simpson's Macclesfield before returning to Lincoln, ironically playing against Macclesfield at the end of the season, before joining Macclesfield again on a 2 year deal in the summer.  He tragically died in his sleep in January.
