Trapdoor Broughton Drops To BSP Again
Sutton's goalshy striker is taken down again. True to form Drewe Broughton finds himself dropping through from League 2 to the BSP Conference with AFC Wimbledon. On previous occasions he dropped through with his clubs - Kidderminster, Rushden, Chester City Boston United and Wrexham - but this time he has thankfully done it without the Imps. Apparently the Wimbledon board had to alter their constitution to allow him in on loan, but then again a track record like his will not only upset but encourage people to follow through. Despite not scoring in 27 appearances for the Imps Trapdoor was popular with the fans. Mind you the gallows sense of humour is a weird one and thankfully a thing of the past now that Tilson’s Rhyme Time era is upon us.
