Tilson: No excuses

Lincoln boss Steve Tilson made no excuses for his side's 3-1 defeat at Burton. On-loan Wolves striker Sam Winnall scored twice and midfielder Aaron Webster chipped in with his 11th goal of the season to put Burton three up before Ashley Grimes netted a late consolation for the Imps. "Burton are a good side - much better than their league position suggests," said Tilson. "They were very impressive, but that's not to say we weren't miles off it as far as our own was concerned. "We started slow and conceding the early goal put us on the back foot. It's happened to us before so it's disappointing from that point of view, but the truth of the matter is we were beaten by far the better side. "Their second goal just after half-time was a real killer because everything I said in the dressing room went out the window. I didn't think it was a penalty for their third goal but that's irrelevant. We didn't work hard enough and we didn't keep the ball well enough. "Ashley Grimes got a good goal for us at the end, but we didn't do enough to get a result."
