Tilson has massive task - Lindsey

Scott Lindsey concedes that reviving Lincoln`s fortunes will be a massive task for new manager Steve Tilson. Lindsey has been caretaker boss since Chris Sutton`s resignation but officially handed over the reins to Tilson on Monday. Former Southend manager Tilson was in the stands as Lincoln lost 2-0 at Shrewsbury on Saturday and Lindsey, who will remain at the club as first-team coach, acknowledges a lot of hard work lies ahead. "It's a massive task. We are fourth from bottom and, make no mistake, he will have to put his own stamp on the team and try to make sure we put points on the board," said Lindsey. "But there are no quick fixes and there's no chance of overhauling the squad completely because we don`t have the finances. "I have spoken with Steve about issues regarding the squad, what we need to do and where we need to be. It's difficult because we don`t have a great deal of money to bring in players so we have to look at that, but I`m sure Steve will do a good job on that score."
