Tilson Could Not Conquer Changing Room
Would you Adam & Eve it Stevie T has admitted he could not conquer the changing room Steve Tilson has incredibly admitted to the great player divide under his watch, something ex Imp skipper Scotty Kerr, now at York City, remained professionally tight lipped over. Many of the senior players in a side normally struggle when a new manager comes in but it is his job to smooth that over. It is called man management and a key part of the job along with prompt and challenging training sessions, scouting and tactical briefings. Tilson, let us remember, put his stamp on things, loaned plenty and had two thirds of the League campaign to mould a side. We will leave you to decide whether Tilson is the man to replicate what Colin Murphy did all those years ago/ Lincoln City manager Steve Tilson says a lack of harmony among his players was a factor in their relegation from the Football League. He told BBC Lincolnshire: "Things have to change. A decent side comes from a good team spirit and a good attitude. "Speaking to the players, they agreed that they probably did not get on as well as they should have." Tilson has offered new contracts to only three members of the Imps squad which finished 23rd in League Two. Luke Howell, Danny Hone and Andy Hutchinson been offered new terms as Tilson rebuilds his squad to compete in the Blue Square Bet Premier. All of the players already contracted to the club for next season have been transfer-listed while the remaining out-of-contract players have been told they have no future at Sincil Bank.
