The Imps but in a spirited display but could not find a winner, meaning they have now gone five games without a win.

"We were a little unfortunate not to get the win. We need to do more going forward and we're working on that," said Sutton.

Sutton was already missing nine players through injury and suspension and suffered another blow late on when his influential centre-back Adam Watts was stretchered off with a knee injury.

Sutton said: "It looked like he was in trouble, we are just assessing him at the moment.

"His knee is swollen. Just one of those things that happened and we've got to get on with it."
