Sutton seething with defeat

Lincoln manager Chris Sutton kept his players locked in the dressing room for 30 minutes after their 3-0 defeat at Accrington. Sean McConville opened the scoring and Terry Gornell bagged a brace as Stanley sunk the Imps, who had substitute Scott Kerr sent off in the 71st minute when he flew into a tackle on Chris Turner and saw red in a game which had several flashpoints.. Sutton said: "I am disappointed with the result. We knew how they would start and that they would put us under pressure and we conceded two sloppy goals. They had incredible chances and we did not take ours. If you concede soft goals and don't take you chances then you lose. "I am not disappointed with the efforts of the players but we made mistakes and gave them a two-goal start. We had a great chance to get it back to 2-1 with Mustapha Carayol but their keeper has pulled off a good save. If that goes in, it's a different game." Sutton also defended Kerr, adding: "I thought the sending off was a total over reaction as everyone knows Scott Kerr isn't that type of player. He was late but their players and staff reaction had a massive bearing on the sending off."
