Sutton: No gloom and doom for Imps

Steve Guinan grabbed the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute in a dour encounter as the Imps slipped to their first defeat in Sutton's third game in charge. "We didn't get carried away when we won our last two games so it won't be all doom and gloom after this result," said Sutton. "Small margins decide games and today proved that point. We didn't do enough to win the game but I'm not sure that Northampton did either. "We kept a decent shape defensively but we possibly could have done more going forward. We defended well throughout the game but you have to defend set pieces and we didn't do that at the vital moment."
