Sutton happy with Imps performance

On-loan Aston Villa midfielder Chris Herd's goal put the Imps ahead at the break, but Dale hit back to draw level through Chris Dagnall with 20 minutes remaining.[LNB]"I'm just pleased with the effort put in, and each week I keep saying we have a lot of work to do, but I was very pleased with the work put in," said Sutton. "We worked hard and concentrated well, which we had to because they are top for a reason.[LNB]"They were very well organised but we stood up to them territorially even if we were under the cosh. They had us under pressure at certain stages of the game and we defended really well.[LNB]"We also scored a very well-worked goal in the first half. After the break we got a bit deep and perhaps we could have made better use of the ball.[LNB]"They got a little bit lucky with the goal as it took a ricochet into the net and was going wide. But in fairness they had a lot of pressure and before the game we'd have taken a point."[LNB][LNB]
