Sutton encouraged by display
Lincoln boss Chris Sutton was pleased with his experimental midfield during the goalless draw with Norwich.
Sutton fielded five players across the middle of the park with Cian Hughton playing just in front of the defence.
"We got outplayed in midfield against Celtic at the weekend and I thought the boys who came in did well," said Sutton.
"When you play against sides that are possession-orientated in the middle you can get out-gunned. It is something we may look at (during the season).
"Cian did really well in midfield. We ask a lot from him for a young player and he never moans.
"To a man I thought we defended well and the fans should be encouraged by the way we played."
