Substitute display thrills Boss
A mix-up between goalkeeper Rob Burch and Moses Swaibu left Delroy Facey the simplest of chances to open the scoring for County only for Mullarkey to hit back soon after with a well-struck shot from 25 yards which flew into the top corner.
"Sam Mullarkey was excellent," said Jackson. "He has done it before; he did well at Notts County, and got a penalty against Grimsby.
"The conditions were really difficult but there were some positives. Moses Swaibu had a good game with (Janos) Kovacs and Scott Kerr was inspirational.
"But we have had 10 draws at home which is rubbish. We have not been beaten many times but if we had turned half of those draws into wins we would be in the play-offs."
