Simmons makes early Rams return
The 19-year-old striker only joined the Imps on a month's loan on Tuesday and was unable to make his debut in the 1-0 victory over Wycombe.
He sustained an ankle injury playing for the reserves on Wednesday and he has returned to Pride Park to receive treatment and is expected to be out for 7-10 days.
Lincoln boss Peter Jackson is hoping to bring Simmons back to Sincil Bank once he has recovered.
He told the club's official site: "I'm really disappointed that we've lost Paris.
"He's gone back to Derby and hopefully he'll be back with us next week but we'll have to wait and see."
