Lindsey pleased with Imps effort

Lincoln first-team coach Scott Lindsey, in his final game in temporary control before handing over the reins to new boss Steve Tilson, was satisfied with the performance despite a 2-0 defeat. Shrewsbury secured a first win in six games as Mark Wright fired in from 15 yards before Jake Robinson cut in from the left before drilling home. Lindsey said: "We looked quite organised at times but a bit ragged at others. I was quite happy after 38 minutes and then, bang, you go 1-0 down, and a couple of minutes later it's 2-0. "We regrouped at half time and the lads had a good go in the second half so I've no complaints about that. "We wanted to get the ball in wide areas because that's where we're strong. We didn't do it as much as would have liked but we were away from home against a good side. When we did, we did hurt them. "Steve (Tilson) has watched the last couple of games and it's natural that all managers want to make their own mark. I'm sure he will want to bring new players in but we have got some ability, we have got pace so there's certainly something for Steve to work with."
