Jackson upbeat despite cup defeat

The Championship side sealed their passage to the second round when substitute Daniel Bogdanovic capitalised on an error by Janos Kovacs in the 72nd minute to snatch a 1-0 victory. "I said to my defenders if they make a mistake then they will be punished because the strikers are of a good quality. I thought Janos Kovacs was outstanding, but his one slip-up has cost us a place in the next round," said Jackson. "But I cannot fault the players, their effort and desire. There were lots of positives to come out of the game. We matched them for the entire game and I knew it would be hard because I watched Barnsley play in pre-season. "Rob Burch showed he is one of the best keepers outside of the Premier League. He was excellent. He's got better and better since he's arrived "Everyone can feel proud of these players and certainly the reaction from the fans at the end suggests they too, can see what we are trying to build here. I'm delighted with my players, but disappointed to slip out of the cup."
