Jackson retains play-off dream
The relegation-threatened Hatters had the better of the Sincil Bank clash and the Imps are still five points off the top seven with just four games remaining.
But Jackson said: "We've still got a massive outside chance of doing it.
"We couldn't have asked for any more from the players in terms of the effort they gave us.
"We didn't create that many clear-cut chances but Andy Hutchinson did well when he came on and gave us the little of spark we needed up front.
"I thought it was a really good game. We played a really good side. Luton are one of the best three teams that have come Sincil Bank this season."
