Jackson pleased after Imps draw

Chris Fagan gave City the lead in the second minute after capitalising on a weak clearance from keeper Aaron Butcher, but Marc Newsham equalised from the penalty spot just before the break after James Cullingworth was upended by Kern Miller. Rob Gradwell spurned three second-half chances while another trialist Paul Connor looked lively, but the Imps could not turn their dominance into goals. Manager Peter Jackson told the club's official website: "I thought we started the game really well obviously with the goal. "They didn't really have a chance against us all night but we gave away a silly penalty. "It was our third pre-season friendly game in just over 10 days and the main point is that it is all about fitness and I am pleased from that point of view."
