Jackson calls on Imps supporters

Jackson is aiming to end years of underachievement at Sincil Bank by leading the club to League One and he insists the supporters have a huge role to play as his young guns look to guide City to their first promotion since 1998. "Obviously we do not have the biggest budget in the world, but we have hope, and that is what this season will be all about as far as I am concerned," Jackson told the Lincolnshire Echo. "I hope the young players push on and do well. I hope the home record improves and I hope we go one step further in terms of the league and cup competitions. "I hope the fans stay behind us in the difficult times because it is so important they stay right behind them. It is no good jumping on their backs when it might not be going to plan. "It must be remembered they are learning and they are developing all the time. They are wonderful kids that can achieve things."
