Jackson: At least we had a go

Former Imps striker Lee Thorpe got the only goal midway through the first half to earn the Quakers their first win of the season. The Imps have lost five of their last six matches in all competitions and Jackson said: "I'm very disappointed but it was a vast improvement from Saturday. At least the players had a go, unlike Saturday, and I was pleased by the effort. "Our quality in the final third was not the best but if Paul Connor scores in the opening 10 minutes then it changes the complexion of the game. We would have been 1-0 up and who knows what could have happened. "I'm disappointed to go out. We wanted to go far in this competition for financial reasons so it's a blow, but we have improved from Saturday so that's a start."
