Jacko's Cup Final Kicks Off L2 Easter Egg-stravganza

19 April 2011 12:55
A brilliant festive period from the greatest League in the world Jacko will really have Bradford City up for it against Burton tonight. Even with fewer funds than we gave him credit for he knew the games he could and needed to win at the Imps to pull us through.  With injuries a concern and the need for a moral boosting champion he has pulled Omar Daley back from Rotherham, to ignite the passion of 11,000 Bantams tonight. Can the old fox pull it off? You bet he can, but alas he won’t be in his dream role next season.   On the eve of a simply massive weekend for League Two your Uncle Vic, not one for diplomacy and treading on eggshells, gives us his view either side of Egg day.   STOCKPORT (24th)   Stockport have to win all four and hope no one else gets more than a win to have any chance of survival. Vale away and Northampton at Home this weekend are simply massive.  What a shame a side with such fantastic support has come to this.  You have to ask what it is with teams in Cheshire. But don’t ask us because we have consulted our lawyers enough over the last 3 months thank you very much.   April 23rd - Port Vale (Away) April 25th - Northampton Town (Home) April 30th - Crewe (Away) May 7th - Cheltenham Town (Home)     BARNET (23rd)   So Laurie Sanchez has been drafted in to ensure the Bees keep on stinging eh? Fact is if they beat Gillingham on Saturday the sides above them need to worry as Oxford won’t fancy the Underhill slope on Monday. Two wins could see them 20th by Monday night with Accy and Vale to come.   April 23rd - Gillingham (Away) April 25th - Oxford United (Home) April 30th - Accrington Stanley (Away) May 7th - Port Vale (Home)     BURTON ALBION (22nd)   Burton finally managed a win to give them some breathing space over the advancing Bees. A  win over Cheltenham whilst your rivals play Bury is no watershed, but then again tonight’s opponents Bradford are also still in freefall under Peter Jackson. After tonight Burton have run out of games in hand and easy teams to beat and for us look favourites to join the Hatters in the Blue Square. Peschisolido has just been hit with a misconduct charge and Bradford apart they have a harrowing run in with Aldershot unbeaten in 10.    April 19th - Bradford City (Away) April 23rd - Aldershot (Away) April 25th - Torquay United (Home) April 30th - Southend United (Away) May 7th - Accrington Stanley (Home)     NORTHAMPTON TOWN (21st)   An inspiring 2-2 draw at Wycombe will need to be repeated and bettered this weekend with cup finals at home to Rotherham and away at Stockport County on Monday.  All Cobblers apart they will net 4 points this weekend and finish the job next,  at home to Stevenage.   April 22nd - Rotherham United (Home) April 25th - Stockport County (Away) April 30th - Stevenage (Home) May 7th - Morecambe (Away)     LINCOLN CITY (20th)   Our Cup final is Monday, simple as  - Bury can keep the points Saturday. A win on Monday and a brace for Grimes in front of the partisan Passionistas will set us up nicely for his 20 and out.  Monday is massive, because the luck we got against Oxford last time suggests Bob Hope or no hope this time around.   April 22nd - Bury (Away) April 25th - Cheltenham Town (Home) April 30th - Oxford United (Away) May 7th - Aldershot (Home)     BRADFORD CITY (19th)   Jacko will really have Bradford City up for it against Burton tonight. Even with fewer funds than we gave him credit for he knew the games he could and needed to win at the Imps to pull us through.  With injuries a concern and the need for a moral boosting champion he has pulled Omar Daley from Rotherham. Can the old fox pull it off tonight? You bet he can, but alas he won’t be in his dream role next season.   April 19th - Burton Albion (Home) April 23rd - Accrington Stanley (Away) April 25th - Aldershot (Home) April 30th - Hereford United (Away) May 7th - Crewe (Home)   MACCLESFIELD TOWN (18TH)   Gary Simpson should get a medal for what he has done with a budget of just over half a million a year and the back drop of the deaths of Richard Butcher and Keith Alexander.  You just know Simmo’s Silkmen will grind out the three points to live to fight another season in the Football League. Macc punching above their weight are what the Football League is all about.   April 23rd - Cheltenham Town (Away) April 25th - Southend United (Home) April 30th - Gillingham (Away) May 7th - Hereford United (Home)     HEREFORD UNITED (17th)   A mixed bunch of opponents still to play but you would fancy a mixed bunch of results will get them to the 50 points bull’s-eye by Monday night. The Shrews at home may be a tough ask but Morecambe away will see a 3 point haul. They could influence Bradford’s destiny next weekend or Maccs the week after if the fates truly conspire.   April 23rd - Shrewsbury Town (Home) April 25th - Morecambe (Away) April 30th - Bradford City (Home) May 7th - Macclesfield Town (Away)     CHELTENHAM TOWN (16TH)   That thrilling 3-2 win at Bury seems an age away after so many hidings, but they are now just two points from safety after another good point against Rotherham.  Macc and Lincoln should yield the two points they need if not they may well have to secure safety on the last day at Stockport.   April 23rd - Macclesfield Town (Home) April 25th - Lincoln City (Away) April 30th - Shrewsbury (Home) May 7th - Stockport (Away)
