Imps waiting on duo

Lincoln face an anxious wait to see if defenders Nathan Baker and Adam Watts will be fit for the trip to Chesterfield. The centre-halves were forced off with ankle and hamstring injuries respectively during the midweek defeat at Hereford and the Imps will have something of a defensive crisis should they fail to recover in time. Their absence would leave youngsters Moses Swaibu and Danny Hone as the only fit central defenders at the club after Janos Kovacs was allowed to join Luton last month. Swaibu has been a regular in the squad this season with just four of his 18 league and cup appearances coming from the bench. Hone, a former trainee at Chesterfield, has started seven matches but he has not featured at all since a 3-1 defeat at Morecambe on October 31. On-loan midfielder Chris Herd missed the Hereford game with a knock and boss Chris Sutton will hope he is able to return.
