Imps vacancy sparks interest

The Imps parted company with Peter Jackson last week after a poor start to the season and will begin their hunt for a replacement ahead of Saturday's trip to Bournemouth. Vice-chairman Bob Dorrian said he is delighted by the calibre of the applicants interested in the job. He revealed on Monday that former Cambridge chief Gary Brabin and Kettering's Mark Cooper are potential candidates for the post, but insists the process will not be rushed in a bid to find the right candidate. "I am pleased with the quality of applicants the vacant position has generated," Dorrian told the club's official website. "It is not our intention to rush the appointment and Simon Clarke has been asked to prepare the team for Saturday's visit to Bournemouth and for the home game against Shrewsbury the following weekend."
