Imps manager Peter Jackson has already held talks with the 25-year-old, but it would seem the only hope of the forward joining City would be for him to demand a loan move.[LNB]Posh chairman Barry Fry claims another club has made an offer for the former Kettering forward and says that unless Lincoln equal the sum, Howe will not be joining the Sincil Bank outfit.[LNB]"I have spoken to Peter Jackson and Steff Wright about Rene and we have thrown a few figures about," Fry told the Lincolnshire Echo.[LNB]"But the fact is someone has come in with a £150,000 bid which we have accepted and unless Lincoln can match it then I would say a move there would be unlikely.[LNB]"We want to strike a permanent deal rather than a loan and although I would like to do Lincoln a favour, business is business I'm afraid."[LNB][LNB]
