Imps happy to set Clark on his way

Two goals from Rene Howe and a second goal of the season from Chris Fagan gave the Imps the win, but caretaker-manager Clark made no comment after the match on whether he plans to apply for the job on a permanent basis. Clark, who instead chose to praise the efforts of his players after a tough week at the club, said: "We had two days with the players and they came out. We asked for effort, commitment and to get tight. "We asked the players to be aggressive and get crosses into the box. We want both strikers and a third midfielder getting in there. "We drew a line under the previous gaffer on Thursday. I spoke to him before the game and he wished us well."
