Imps Go 4-4-2 To Oxford's 4-3-3 - LCM Teams & Schemes

Oxford V Imps Teams & Schemes   Oxford are bemoaning injuries in defence although things at the centre of their back four are not as bad as the press are making out. Injured Hanson, replaced injured Sangare who in turn has been replaced by Worley, back from a two match ban.  Full-back Batt was also replaced by Purkiss in the last one and this is something McCallum can and should exploit.   Oxford play 4-3-3 with the midfield trio not a big enough department for the embarrassment of riches at their disposal. McLaren, Hall & Payne  get the nod with wing wonder Potter, Craddock and Constable almost interchangeable at the sharp end of the trident.   The U's go 4-3-3 Clarke   Purkiss Worley Wright Tonkin   McLaren Hall Payne   Potter Craddock Constable       Imps 4-4-2 Sincil smoke and mirror tactics are nothing new, but LCM are genuinely 50/50 on whether we will see 4-51 or 4-4-2 as the Imps have shaped up with both this week. The lad to suffer in a 4-4-2 would be Fuseini, well deserved in truth, with Keltie given the opportunity to save more than his own skin. Trapdoor Broughton will also return with Hutchinson another big disappointment. If its 4-5-1 Fuseini will get a reprieve at Broughton’s expense. It would mean we are going for the point but that is a risky ploy should we not be as lucky elsewhere as we were last Saturday. Its either in our own hands or t is not.     Parish Hughton Green Hone Anderson Howell Keltie Kilbey McCallum (Y)   Broughton Grimes
