Imps end their interest in McClean

The Imps' bid to sign the Under-21 international had already hit problems because of Derry's financial problems and McClean has now returned home after just two days' training with the League Two club.[LNB]"James's father phoned me and said he was homesick and won't be leaving Ireland," said Lincoln manager Chris Sutton.[LNB]"It's unfortunate because we've been impressed with what we've seen of him.[LNB]"Historically some of the Irish players who have come over have struggled to settle.[LNB]"He does come from a big family but I thought two days was a little short, I'd have expected him to maybe give it a week."[LNB][LNB]
