The League Two club are looking for a new manager after sacking Peter Jackson last week. Brabin guided Cambridge to the Conference play-off final last season before leaving the Abbey Stadium in the summer following a series of disputes with the club. Cooper is regarded as one of the best managers outside the Football League. He took over at Kettering in May 2007 and led the club to promotion from Conference North in his first season in charge. Last season, Town reached the fourth round of the FA Cup equalling their best showing in the competition. Lincoln vice-chairman Bob Dorrian told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Gary Brabin is exactly the type of manager we are interested in. Cooper is under contract at Kettering but they both fit the criteria of the type of manager we would like to recruit. "We are looking for someone who will take the club by the scruff of the neck and bring it success."
