Sutton was sent to the stands by referee Graham Salisbury during the Imps' 1-1 draw with Cheltenham last weekend.

The former Blackburn striker has until next Tuesday to make his plea and told the Lincolnshire Echo: "The FA have put through a charge of improper conduct and, in all honesty, I have not yet decided what my next move will be.

"We are still talking it through at the football club and we have until next week to make our decision."

Sutton will be on the touchline for Lincoln's match against Grimsby this weekend.
