Form Of The Foe Oxford United

28 April 2011 20:17
Our statistical look at the opposition, this week Oxford United Oxford have drawn their last four games, with 17 goal James Constable netting a brace in Saturdays fight back to 2-2 at Barnet. They managed a nil nil at home to Chesterfield last Friday and prior to that a creditable 0-0 at high flying Accrington. The week before saw a 2-2 home derby draw against Wycombe in front of over 9,000 with winger Alfie Potter making one and scoring one. Not too bad for a side who are spending their first season back in the Football League after going down in May 2006 after 44 years in the league.   Alas a point for the Imps, though creditable, might not be a wise ploy weekend against a side smarting from a recent 1-3 defeat at Sincil Bank.  thanks to two farcical own goals. Let us hope we have not used up all our good luck in one go given Oxford have Constable, Craddock and Potter as the spearhead of a 4-3-3 to hurt us.  Although Chris Wilder did have defensive woes, Worley is now back after a two match ban and looks favourite to replace Hanson (7 stitches) who had replaced Sangare (broken metatarsal, which rules him out for the rest of the season).   To cut to the chase our weekly look at the form of the foe.     Recent form   16/4 Accrington (A) D 0-0 L2 23/4 Chesterfield (H)D 0-0 L2 25/4 Barnet (A) D 2-2 L2 Last 6 overall D-D-D-D-L-W Last 6 homes D-D-W-W-L-L   Home Record 13th G 22 W 10 D 4 L 8 F 30 A 24 GD 6 PTS 34Away Record 12thG 22 W 6 D 8 L 8 F 26 A 32 GD -6 PTS 26Overall Position 12th G 44 W 16 D 12 L 16 F 56 A 56 GD 0 PTS 60Seasonal Highs & Lows  Biggest Home Win 4-0 Morecambe Biggest Away Win Morecambe 0-3 Heaviest Home Defeat 0-2 Torquay United, 0-2 Southend United , 0-2 Hereford United Heaviest Away Defeat Bradford City 5-0 Highest  Score Torquay United 3-4 Ker-ching  Highest Gate  9440 Macclesfield Town Lowest Gate 6004 Barnet Average Attendance 7267 Total Turnstile clicks 159895 Heroes & VillainsGoal Machines17 James Constable15 Tom Craddock7 Jack Midson6 Steven MacLean5 Simon HeslopGoal Makers9 James Constable7 Steven MacLean5 Tom Craddock4 Alfie PotterCard CollectorsReds 51 Anthony Tonkin, Jake Wright, James Constable, Damian Batt, Mark Creighton   Yellows 77  9 Harry Worley7 Simon Heslop6 Jake Wright, James Constable, Tom Craddock, Paul McLaren 5 Asa Hall, Steven MacLean, Josh Payne4 Anthony TonkinKeeper Corner  Ryan ClarkeGames 48 saves 207 clean Sheets 11 Yellows 1Forthcoming Fixtures30/4 Lincoln City (H) 15:00  L2 7/5 Shrewsbury (A) 15:00  L2
