Chairman Bob Dorrian hopes Lincoln will be in a position to appoint a new manager in time for next weekend`s league game at Shrewsbury. The npower League Two club are searching for a successor to Chris Sutton, who resigned last week after a year in charge. The Lincoln board met on Thursday to draw up a final shortlist of candidates they would like to interview. Dorrian, who has stated that the club would be prepared to pay compensation to another club in order to get the right man, said: "So far we've picked out six or seven who we think will be worth an interview. "We hope that by next Friday or Saturday we'll have made our decision and a new manager will be in place. "We have to go with someone who has got knowledge of lower league football and has had some kind of success. There are two or three who we are looking at who are currently in jobs in the Football League."
