Dogged defence delights Jackson

Barnet dominated for much of the game with wingers Yannick Bolasie and Albert Jarrett causing plenty of problems for the home team. But sterling displays from City goalkeeper Rob Burch and his back four ensured Lincoln kept a clean sheet and took the points courtesy of Janos Kovacs' 59th-minute goal. "It was all about the result and not the performance. I'm just delighted to have won our first game," said Jackson. "It wasn't our best performance. I thought Barnet were the better team in the first half, but we improved in the second half and stayed solid at the back. "Janos Kovacs was immense at centre-back. There were strong performances from all the back four and the goalkeeper. "If you're solid at the back and keep a clean sheet, you can nick a win and that's what we did."
