Clark set for Imps scouting mission

The former Colchester and Leyton Orient man was due to be interviewed for the vacant managerial post at Sincil Bank on Wednesday. Instead, Clark has been given the green light to watch a Championship reserve game to cast an eye over several potential loan signings. Clark, who will now be grilled by the City board on Friday, told the Lincolnshire Echo: "Players don't always cost that much, it depends on what age of players you're looking at. "We just need players that are going to add something. There's no point bringing in players for the sake of it. "At this time we're a bit short and we need to bring in players who are going to affect things on the pitch, in both boxes or in-between the boxes. It's no good bringing in squad players."
