Clark backs new Imps boss Sutton

Clark's reign as caretaker boss ended with a 3-0 home defeat to Notts County. Sutton, who officially begins his role on Wednesday, watched from the stands and saw City fall behind after just 14 seconds before Luke Rodgers went on to complete a hat-trick. "We have been in this position since the start of the season. We have had a difficult run and Aldershot will be another tough game on Saturday but after that we have six easier games, if there are any easy games when you are on a poor run," said Clark. Clark added: "I spoke to Chris before the game and he wanted the focus just to be on the players. "We talked to the players before kick-off about starting well against a team with a bit of momentum, but it was a poor first header, their front two had good movement and once Rodgers goes he is away."
