The experienced released 35 year old looks set to miss out.   Former Notts County and Lincoln City man Jamie Clapham had hoped to get a deal at Mansfield Town until Duncan Russell got the push after the 1-0 FA Trophy final defeat to Darlington.   But ambitious Mansfield millionaire owner John Radford is looking for a man to lead the Stags back into the football League and will offer the new manager a budget to match suggesting Clapham, 36 this December, will miss out.  The candidates include Ronnie Moore, Sammy McIlroy, Paul Trollope, Ian Baraclough, Dave Penney and Martin Foyle, all of whom have been there and done it   Jamie, just the steadying head the Imps need, could well end up retiring or moving into semi-professionalism next season alerting Boston or maybe even Lincoln’s other ambitious non league sides. Well he is financially secure and settled in Lincoln.    JAMIE CLAPHAM DOB1975-12-07 Age 35 POB Lincoln,  Height5'9 Weight 11st 8lbs Team Lincoln City Position Defence     IMP STATS Competition Starts Goals Subs on Subs off Mins Pld Red  Yellow Football League  20 1 4 3 1793 0 3  FA Cup 2 1 0 0 180 0 0  League Cup 0 0 1 0 44 0 0 Total 22 2 5 3 2017 0 3
