Clapham clapped by caretaker

Caretaker manager Scott Lindsey lauded Jamie Clapham after his 25-yard free-kick secured Lincoln their first win in five games. The Imps took the lead just before half time as Moses Swaibu's header ended their 464-minute wait for a goal, before Hamza Bencherif restored parity just after the interval. However, Clapham's wonder strike secured the three points midway through the second period, much to the delight of Lindsey. "Jamie Clapham works at things like that in training, that is why he has played at the top level at clubs like Spurs and Birmingham," Lindsey said. "Delroy Facey also put himself about and did well. "To be fair the players responded to me well at Southend last week and they responded to me well again against Macclesfield. They have given me 100%, which is what I asked for, and after the game I went round and thanked them for it. "I don't know if I am going to be in charge for the next game. When I am sat down at home I might think about my future, but at the moment I've still got a job to do."
