Sutton, who officially took charge at the start of October, watched on as a string of chances went begging.[LNB]City twice hit the post early on but fell behind to a 41st-minute effort from Marc Richards.[LNB]Vale keeper Chris Martin pushed a long throw into his own net for the equaliser at the start of the second half, but they stole all three points courtesy of Louis Dodds' strike on the hour mark.[LNB]"We had enough chances to win two games - and they were very good chances," said Sutton. "I'm bitterly disappointed. We were sloppy defensively and both goals we conceded were avoidable.[LNB]"It was one of those nights, but if we keep working away and creating chances we'll win more games than we lose. In the last few games the performances have been okay but we've got to get results."[LNB][LNB]
