Bury Looks A Hectic Trip For The Imps Then?

20 April 2011 16:16
Our statistical look at the form of the foe Its time for the weekly look at the formidable form of the foe. This week it is Bury with Gigg Lane Goal Machine Ryan Lowe already on 26 goals in all competitions for the season. Poor old Andy Bishop is struggling to get a look in with just 4 for the season with Nicholas Ajose (12) and the rest of the supply line running riot. Lowe has also added 4 assists, with Jones Worrell and Ajose also wading in with half a dozen apiece.   Even keeper Keeper Cameron Belford has got an assist to match his yellow card. Therein lies the steel behind the flamboyance,  with 71 yellow cards and 4 reds in all competitions. Caretaker Richie Barker, in after Alan Knill's defection to Scunthorpe, has been told he will keep the job until at least the end of the season has put even more fire in their bellies with 4 wins on the spin, scoring 10 and conceding 2.  He is a surprisingly modest feet on the ground kind of chap, as this interview with BBC Radio Manchester will attest CLICK ME   Given our home form and their away it is a good job we are playing at their place with them a mere 7th in the home form pecking order. Let us not get to overconfident though, remember they tonked us 5-0 at the Bank and have won more on their travels than at home to leave them top travellers for the division.  Poor old LJL has managed to start just 8 games although his 32 as a sub have seen him come on to good effect to bag a couple of goals.   Without further ado a look at Bury’s stats.    Bury Current FormLast 39/4 Northampton (A) W 4-2 L212/4 Burton (H) W 1-0 L216/4 Barnet (H) W 2-0 L2Last 6 W-W-W-W-D-L Home Record 7thP 21 W 10  D 6 L 5 F 33 A 20 GD 13 PTS 36Away record 1stP 21 W 11  D 5 L 5 F 41 A 22 GD 19 PTS 38Overall Position 2ndP 42 W 21 D 11  L 10 F 74 A 42 GD 32 PTS 74Seasonal Highs and LowsBiggest Home Win 3-0 Accrington Stanley, 3-0 Stevenage, 3-0 Oxford United Biggest Away Win Lincoln City 0-5Heaviest Home Defeat 0-1 Port Vale, 0-1 Bradford City, 0-1 Stockport County, 1-2 Torquay United, 2-3 Cheltenham Town Heaviest Away Defeat Crewe Alexandra 3-0 Highest Aggregate Score 5-4 Gillingham Ker-ching Highest Gate 4681 Port Vale Lowest Gate 2080 Stevenage Average Attendance 3129 Total Turnstile clicks 65720Heroes & Villains  Goal Takers 26 Lowe 12 Ajose 8 Jones 7 Schumacher 4 Bishop, Sodje    Goal Makers 6 Jones, Worrell, Ajose4 Bishop, Lowe,Picken, Haworth 3 Bennett Keeper CornerCameron BelfordGames 35 Saves 146 Clean sheets 13Assists 1 Yellows 1 Card CollectorsYellows 71 11 Sodje, Mozika10 Picken7 Schumacher5 Lowe, SkarzReds 4 2 Schumacher1 Sodje, MozikaForthcoming Fixtures 22/4 Lincoln City (H) L2 25/4 Chesterfield (A) L2 30/4 Wycombe (H) L2
