Burton defeat frustrates Jackson
A first-half goal from Ryan Austin and a stoppage-time effort from substitute Russell Penn were enough to give the Brewers all three points.
Jackson said: "It was frustrating. We had a good performance at Bradford in midweek and if we'd won we would have gone joint top.
We had five players out injured but I don't blame that. It was a poor performance from us in the first half.
"We picked up a bit after the break but in the end it wasn't to be. Consistency let us down last season. One week we looked a good side. The next week we looked average.
"We've got to turn that around. In the second half we just couldn't breakdown Burton and then we conceded a second goal at the death. It was a performance not many of the players can take any credit from."
