The visitors opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Ryan Austin was left unmarked at the far post and firmly planted his header into the net from six yards. Albion almost added a second goal when a defensive error let in Greg Pearson but the striker's shot was saved by Lincoln keeper Rob Burch. Paul Peschisolido's side continued to dominate after the break and Jimmy Phillips had a chance to double the lead in the 51st minute but his shot was blocked by Moses Swaibu. Phillips and Shaun Harrad then set up Pearson but the striker shot over from a good position. Lincoln keeper Rob Burch pushed Guy Branston's header over 20 minutes from the end but a spectacular lob from Russell Penn sealed the points for Burton in stoppage time.
