Brabin backed for Imps post

Ex-Cambridge boss Brabin is a leading candidate to replace Peter Jackson and Brimson offered his support, insisting he was the "perfect man" to revive the Imps' fortunes. Despite applying for the job himself, Bimson claims the club should look no further than Brabin having worked alongside him as head coach at Cambridge last season. "I sent my application off last week, but I don't think I will be getting an interview because they are looking for managers with more experience than me," Bimson told the Lincolnshire Echo. "But obviously I know Gary is one of the names in the frame and, in my opinion, he is the perfect man for the job. "I worked closely with him throughout last season and he really is an exceptional manager."
