Aldershot 2-2 Lincoln City: Report

Grimes grabs Imps a point On-loan striker Ashley Grimes bagged his 12th goal of the season as Lincoln came from two goals down to snatch a point in a 2-2 draw at Aldershot. The Shots looked to be cruising to victory after Anthony Charles' penalty and an Alex Rodman effort put them in control. But Lincoln kept pushing and, after Josh O'Keefe had halved the deficit, Millwall man Grimes lashed home the equaliser with just four minutes remaining. The Imps were the form team in League Two going into the game - winning six of their previous seven matches - and the signs were good for them early on as Delroy Facey fired just wide. Aldershot had hardly settled into the game when they were gifted their opener. Luke Guttridge's cross was handled by O'Keefe and skipper Charles made no mistake from the spot in the 18th minute. They were 2-0 up early in the second half when Peter Vincenti fed Rodman and he powered his effort under keeper Trevor Carson. O'Keefe then made amends for his earlier handball, nodding home Jamie Clapham's cross in the 65th minute before Grimes completed the comeback by pouncing on a loose ball in the Aldershot box.
