Darran Kempson grabbed the winner as Accrington Stanley secured their first league win of the season with victory over Lincoln.Centre-back Kempson headed home a Jimmy Ryan free kick after 50 minutes as the home side earned a deserved win. Lincoln belatedly attacked late on and Janos Kovacs had a header cleared off the line for the visitors. Stanley keeper Alan Martin also had to tip over a Joe Heath effort in injury time to make sure of the three points. Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We were beaten by the better side and it was a big disappointment. "We got a lot of praise after the Barnsley game for the performance, (to come) to this today is baffling. "A club like Accrington has to play with spirit and passion and they certainly had that. But our passing, our tackling, our defending at times was poor and they thoroughly deserved to win it. "There were a lot of poor performances today and we simply have to improve."
