French Ligue 1 club Lille have further added to their squad ahead of the start of the new season with the signing of 19-year-old full-back Djibril Sidibe from Troyes.

Sidibe, who helped Troyes win promotion to the top flight last season, turns 20 later this month and is a French under-20 international.

Sidibe signed a five-year contract. No information on a transfer fee was released.

His arrival could ease the way for full French international Mathieu Debuchy, believed to be a target of Newcastle United and Inter Milan, to leave the club.

Lille, who will enter the Champions League at the play-off stage after finishing third in Ligue 1 last season, have already signed Salomon Kalou from Chelsea, Belgo-Greek forward Dorian Klonaridis from AEK, goalkeeper Steeve Elana from Brest and France international midfielder Marvin Martin from Sochaux.
