Leyton Orient manager Martin Ling is still on the lookout for a new loan striker, having seen a move for Coventry City's Kevin Kyle end in failure.
Ling is desperate to add some much-needed firepower to his squad and has a shortlist of three players from which to work from.
He told the Epping Forest Guardian: "I have now got a list with three names on it and I've taken it to the chairman to see where we can go with it.
"Of course all three are good names, but then they are all earning good money so it will be a case of seeing what happens.
"Yes it is frustrating when you look at the Kevin Kyle situation, because we made a solid enquiry but couldn't match his money, yet the next minute you see him at Hartlepool."
