Leyton Orient striker Lee Steele is targeting a first-team return inside two weeks after stepping up his return from injury by playing for the reserves.
The 31-year-old completed 90 minutes for the second string in a 4-1 defeat to Luton after a spell on the sidelines due to a double hernia operation.
Steele is now hoping to face his former club, Oxford United, in this month's LDV Vans Trophy clash between the two sides.
He told the club's official website: "That game is the one me and the manager have been thinking about and aiming for."
